A 30-year-old man was bitten by a baby rattlesnake at Dog Beach, north of Ocean Beach, Saturday afternoon.
The victim was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition to be treated for a bite to his right hand, city lifeguard Martine Safety Lt. James Gartland said.
Another beachgoer killed the snake, according to the lieutenant.
