Two adults found themselves displaced Tuesday following a fire that caused an estimated $200,000 in damage to a house in Oceanside and destroyed several vehicles, authorities said.

The noninjury fire at 3945 Stanford Drive erupted in the garage shortly before 7 p.m. Monday and took firefighters about 45 minutes to bring under control, according to Oceanside Fire Division Chief Bill Kogerman.

In addition to $200,000 damage to the house, four motorcycles and a fifth vehicle were destroyed, he said.

The cause was under investigation.
