San Diegans headed to or from the San Diego International Airport may experience traffic delays on the roadways accessing the airport on Sunday morning due to the annual San Diego Half Marathon.

The race is scheduled to begin at 7:15 a.m. near Petco Park. Roadways used to access the airport, including Pacific Highway, Ash St., North Harbor Drive, Rental Car Access Road, and Harbor Island Drive, will be impacted beginning around 7 a.m. until approximately 12 p.m.

North Harbor Drive in front of the airport will remain open at all times, but may be reduced to one lane in each direction.

With almost 8,000 runners and volunteers expected for the event, airport users should allow extra time heading to or from the airport.
