San Diego Police asked Tuesday for the public’s help in solving a homicide that occurred in the Chollas Creek neighborhood 7 years ago.
Salvador Hernandez, 26, and a female companion were in a parked car in the 5500 block of Seifert Street around 3:30 a.m. on Feb. 16, 2008, when an older, light-colored pickup truck pulled up alongside the couple’s car and shots rang out, according to police.
Hernandez was mortally wounded in the gunfire, but his companion survived the shooting. The motive was unclear.
