Three women and a teenage boy were detained in Imperial Beach after they crossed into the United States from Mexico on jet skis.
Border Patrol agents spotted the foursome crossing the border and stopping north of the Imperial Beach Pier around 10 p.m. Sunday.
They were all passengers on the jet skis, which were operated by two other unknown individuals who fled back to Mexico after dropping off the four on the beach, the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol said in a statement.
The agency identified the four passengers as a 15-year-old boy and three women ages 18, 20 and 40.
