San Diego Police asked for the public’s help Wednesday in identifying armed robbers known as the “Random Bandits.”
The crooks are believed to be responsible for 11 robberies and holding up a pedestrian. The crimes were reported from North Park to La Jolla between Dec. 14 and Jan. 14, according to San Diego police.
“The suspects in this series have shown no consistent pattern in the type of businesses they target or how many suspects enter the business during the robbery,” police said. “They have committed robberies with one, two and three suspects entering the victim business, sometimes armed with a handgun, knife or combination of handgun, knife and unarmed.”
Police described the suspects as black men in their 20s with medium builds, usually wearing dark-colored hooded sweatshirts or long-sleeved shirts.
Anyone with more information about the robbers was asked to call San Diego police at (619) 531-2299, or San Diego County Crime Stoppers’ anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477.
Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $1,000 for tips that lead to an arrest in the case.
