A trio of unrelated fires in Linda Vista, Bay Park and University Heights kept San Diego firefighters busy Sunday afternoon.
The first of the fires sent a child and three adult residents of a two- story home at 6618 Appert Court to a hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. It was reported around noon and knocked down in about 10 minutes.
A second fire was reported shortly before 1 p.m. on El Cajon Boulevard, between Hamilton and Oregon streets, according to the SDF-RD. It was later knocked down, city fire Capt. Joe Amador said.
Fire crews knocked down another fire at a residence on Knoxville Street, between Littlefield Street and Gardena Avenue. That fire was reported around 1:15 p.m., according to the SDF-RD.
Amador said investigators were working to determine the causes of all three fires.
