An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.2 rattled a desert area about 11 miles north-northeast of Pine Valley Sunday.
Automated seismographs registered the temblor around 10:10 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Computer-generated reports indicated it struck at a depth of around 5 miles.
The quake’s epicenter was about 20 miles east of the San Diego Country Estates, 21 miles east-northeast of Alpine and 25 miles east of Ramona, according to the USGS.
No damage was reported.
