San Diego Police Thursday were on the lookout for two men who robbed a Japanese restaurant in Kearny Mesa at gunpoint, pistol-whipping an employee in the process.
The armed robbery at Yakyudori Restaurant at 4898 Convoy St. was reported at 11:47 p.m. Wednesday, according to San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims.
The pistol-whipped employee was treated for a minor head injury, Heims said in a statement.
Police described the robbers as black, 20 to 30 years old and around 6 feet 1. Both wore dark hoodies and dark pants, police said, adding that they fled out the rear of the restaurant.
