San Diego Police will hand out toys to underprivileged youth in the South Bay for the second consecutive day Wednesday.
“This is an opportunity to reach out to families during the holiday season,” police said in a statement. “We are excited to deliver the toys and see the smiles on each of the children we visit.”
During the two-day event, which kicked off Tuesday, an officer from the SDPD’s Southern Division Juvenile Service Team dresses as Santa Claus and accompanies other officers as they deliver gifts to preselected families.
