A search of a large suspected “drug house” in Encinitas on Tuesday resulted in a half-dozen arrests for various violations.
The sheriff’s SWAT team served a search warrant at 1507 Rancho Encinitas Drive around 6 a.m.
The house near Caminito Ricardo had been the subject of several calls regarding suspicious and alleged drug-related activity for about a year, sheriff’s Sgt. Richard George said.
Deputies previously arrested homeowner Anastasia Kirkeby, 49, on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon, and Jeremy Henry, 38, for allegedly possessing a controlled substance.
The SWAT team descended on the 3,500-square foot house, to which the residents had made several modifications, and used pepper spray to flush out those inside about 45 minutes later, according to sheriff’s Capt. Theresa Adams-Hydar.
The first to be taken into custody were Jeremy Dinwiddie, who was wanted on a felony warrant in a stalking case, and Jessica Wilkenson on suspicion of heroin possession. Henry was also taken into custody on suspicion of being an accessory to a crime, as were Paul Povency and John Switzer, George said.
Kirkeby was later found in a hidden room behind a bookcase and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of furnishing a drug house, the sergeant said.
