A two-alarm blaze broke out Wednesday afternoon in an abandoned El Cerrito-area warehouse, but nobody was hurt.

No one was inside the boarded up, two-story building at 5582 University Ave. when it caught fire around 2:45 p.m., according to the San Diego Fire- Rescue Department. The building’s roof collapsed before crews knocked down the fire around 3:10 p.m.

There was no immediate word on what may have sparked the blaze.
