A 12-inch water main broke in the Miramar area Thursday, interrupting water service but causing no flooding, city officials said.
The break near the intersection of Silverton Avenue and Mira Este Court was reported at 6:22 a.m. and crews had the water turned off by 8 a.m., according to city of San Diego public utilities spokesman Arian Collins.
Customers in the 7800 through 8100 blocks of Silverton, as well as Mira Este Court, were without water service, he said.
The city estimated repairs would be completed by 8 p.m.
