One person was killed Thursday in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 805 in the Sorrento Valley area, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
The crash was reported at 6:45 p.m. on the northbound side of I-805 just south of I-5, said California Highway Patrol Officer Mary Bailey.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, she said.
Initial reports indicated a black SUV and silver sedan were involved in the crash, Bailey said.
The crash closed four northbound lanes of the freeway and a SigAlert was issued, according to the CHP.
