A preliminary hearing set for Tuesday was postponed to Dec. 16 for a man accused of stabbing two people at a house party in Fallbrook.

Guy Ray Roman, 21, is charged with attempted murder and several other felonies in connection with the Aug. 18 attack in the 200 block of North Stage Coach Lane near Via Entrada.

A woman called 911 shortly before 8 p.m. Aug. 18 and told dispatchers that the stabbings occurred at her house and that the suspect ran away, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies found a man with a partially severed carotid artery and another with less severe injuries. Both victims survived.

Sheriff’s investigators later named Roman as a suspect and he turned himself in. He is being held in the Vista jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.

The motive was unclear.
