A gunman robbed a market in University Heights Tuesday, police said.
The robbery at American Market at 4395 Cleveland Ave. occurred about 8:30 a.m., according to San Diego police Officer Matt Tortorella.
The robber fled in a dark blue Jeep Cherokee, possibly driven by someone else, he said. No one was hurt.
Police were looking for a thin black man in his 20s, about 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall with a mustache or goatee. He wore a gray sweatshirt with letters across the front and jeans; he was carrying a black handgun, Tortorella said.
