An influx of sewage-fouled water out of Tijuana prompted a pollution alert Monday along several miles of ocean coastline just north of the U.S.-Mexico line.
The warning encompasses beaches from the border to the south end of Seacoast Drive in Imperial Beach, according to the county Department of Environmental Health.
Signs warning of contamination hazards will stand at access points to those areas until follow-up testing deems them safe again for swimming, surfing and other recreational uses.
