Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a motorcycle crash in Vista  on Monday that sent a 31-year-old man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries,.

The man crashed his motorcycle as he was exiting Highway 78 at North Emerald Drive about 8:40 p.m. Monday, according to San Diego County Sheriff‘s Deputy Kenneth Werner. No other vehicles were involved.

Paramedics took the man to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido with “serious, life-threatening injuries,” Werner said in a statement.
