A man who was shot multiple times at a taco shop parking lot in National City on Thursday was in critical condition Friday morning, officials said.
The shooting occurred at Tacos El Gordo on Highland Avenue near 19th Street, and was reported shortly after 10:30 p.m. Thursday, a National City police dispatcher said.Witnesses told police an argument over a woman parking lot prompted the assailant to shoot the victim, CBS 8 reported.
The victim, who was not identified, was taken to the UCSD Medical Center, where he was reported in critical condition.
A description of the gunman was not immediately available, but a car that was left on the scene was being used as evidence.
