A man armed with a pistol robbed a North County fast-food restaurant Tuesday, authorities reported.
The thief displayed the weapon and demanded cash at the Taco Bell in the 4100 block of Oceanside Boulevard shortly before 11:30 a.m., according to police.
He fled with an undisclosed amount of money, possibly in a white van, Lt. Val Sadaat said.
Witnesses described the bandit as a roughly 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing about 140 pounds, and wearing a dark sweater and a baseball cap.
