Authorities sought public help Wednesday in identifying a man who has committed at least five bank robberies in San Diego, Los Angeles and Laguna Niguel since May.
During each of the crimes, he wore glasses and a baseball hat bearing an Angels, Chargers, Raiders or Titleist golf-equipment logo.
Dubbed the Hills Bandit, the thief claimed to be armed with a gun and threatened to shoot people during the holdups, though he has never displayed a weapon, according to the FBI.
The most recent heist occurred Monday afternoon at a California Bank and Trust office in the 4300 block of La Jolla Village Drive.
The perpetrator is a roughly 185-pound white man who appears to be 40 to 50 years old, according to the FBI.
Anyone with information about the robberies was asked to call the FBI at (858) 320-1800 or (310) 477-6565.
