A dirt bike rider crashed into a parked car in the Winter Gardens community near Lakeside and suffered fatal injuries, the California Highway Patrol said Monday.
The rider struck the stationary vehicle in the 8400 block of Sunview Drive near Gay Rio Drive about 4:40 p.m. Sunday, according to the CHP.
The injured dirt bike rider was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital and later died, CHP officials said. The rider’s name was not immediately available.
