A gunman in a clown mask and rainbow wig held up a 7- Eleven in Linda Vista early Wednesday, and police believed the same suspect was responsible for robbing a gas station in Bay Park a week ago.
In this morning’s robbery, the suspect pulled a gun on a clerk at the convenience store at 6615 Linda Vista Road shortly before 1:30 a.m. and demanded cash, San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros said.
He escaped with an undisclosed amount and fled eastbound on Northrim Court in a dark SUV, Delimitros said.
Police described the robber as a thin Hispanic man, about 5 feet 7, with “rainbow-colored hair” and a clown mask, a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Aug. 6, a suspect with a similar description, including the clown mask and rainbow hair – robbed the USA Gas Station at 2505 Morena Blvd., Delimitros said.
