A man wanted in Oregon for allegedly sexually assaulting a child last year was captured at a Linda Vista apartment complex Wednesday.
Members of a fugitive task force arrested Jorge Martinez Villamar, 28, in the 6600 block of Linda Vista Road about 7 a.m., sheriff’s spokeswoman Melissa Aquino said.
He allegedly made a failed attempt to flee before being taken into custody.
Villamar was booked into San Diego Central Jail and was being held without bail pending extradition procedures.
