A motorcyclist was killed Sunday in a two-vehicle crash in Solana Beach, a sheriff’s lieutenant said.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Via del Valle and Jimmy Durante Boulevard, according to Lt. Herb Taft of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
According to preliminary information, the motorcycle collided with a car and the rider ended up trapped beneath the vehicle, Taft said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
Villa del Valle was closed in both directions as a result of the crash, Taft said.
