Sheriff’s detectives were seeking the public’s help Tuesday to identify a man with distinctive tattoos and another man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman along an Alpine roadway last week.
The victim told deputies that she had pulled over to the side of South Grade Road near Cleghorn Way about 8 p.m. on July 7 when the suspects approached her in a newer silver Ford Ranger pickup truck with an extra cab and a lifted suspension, worn out tires and the front grill spray-painted black, and assaulted her, San Diego Sheriff‘s Detective Dan Barnes said.
She described one man as white and between 25 and 35 years old, about 5 feet 11 and 170 pounds with hazel eyes, a shaved head and no facial hair, wearing a white t-shirt, dark jeans and black high-top shoes. He had several tattoos including devil horns on his head, flames on his neck and a skull on his arm.
The second suspect was described as white and between 35 and 40, about 6 feet 1 and 200 pounds with slicked back brown hair, brown eyes and a patch of hair under his lower lip. He was wearing a black baseball cap backward, a black leather “biker cut” vest over a white t-shirt, jeans and boots.
Authorities asked anyone with information on the suspects to call Barnes at (619) 659-2612, the sheriff’s department at (858) 565-5200, or Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
