Also arrested were a parolee in possession of a controlled substance and three others while patrolling the city in search of drunken drivers, police said Friday.
The Chula Vista Police Department conducted the patrol Thursday to raise public awareness, lower the number of drunken or drugged drivers and to ensure drivers were properly licensed, said a Chula Vista Police Department statement.
Officers pulled over 32 vehicles, which led to the arrests of a drunken driver, a felon in possession of two firearms and ammunition, a parolee in possession of a controlled substance, a driver who was in possession of an illegal narcotic and a person who was suspected of public drunkenness, it said.
Four drivers were cited for license violations and eight citations were issued for various traffic violations, police said.
The patrol was funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
