Images of a bank robber, apparently carrying a Betsey Johnson makeup bag during a holdup in Rancho Bernardo, were made public Wednesday in the hope that someone would recognize him.
The robbery at a California Bank and Trust branch in the 16700 block of Bernardo Center Drive occurred about 5:20 p.m. Friday, FBI Special Agent Darrell Foxworth said.
The suspect demanded cash, got an undisclosed sum and fled in a dark sedan.
The robber was described as a white or Hispanic man in his mid 20s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a “Famous Stars And Straps” T-shirt, dark pants and a dark baseball cap.
Anyone with information about the case was asked to call San Diego County Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477, or contact the agency online at sdcrimestoppers.com. Tipsters may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
