
San Diego Sheriff‘s deputies arrested 18 people during concentrated parole and probation checks Thursday in San Diego’s north coastal communities.
Operation Neptune involved 70 deputies, who contacted 50 people in Encinitas, Solana Beach, Del Mar, 4S Ranch, San Marcos, Vista, Oceanside, and Carlsbad from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The department called the operation a “a proactive approach to ensure those on parole and probation are complying with the conditions of their release.”
The Encinitas Sheriff’s Station coordinated Operation Neptune, which included a K-9 Unit, SWAT team and helicopter.
