Homicide detectives were investigating at least one person of interest Friday who may have been involved in the bludgeoning death of a woman in her 30s, a police lieutenant said.
The woman’s body was found about 6 p.m. Thursday inside inside her condominium in the 7700 block of Mission Gorge Road in San Carlos, according to San Diego Police Department Lt. Mike Hastings and Officer David Stafford.
The woman suffered blunt force trauma to her upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene, Hastings said. An autopsy was pending.
No arrests had been made as of 11 p.m. Thursday, but Hastings said detectives were investigating at least one person who may have known the victim and been involved in her death.
The victim’s name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
