A motorcyclist died early Sunday morning in a solo vehicle accident on a San Diego surface street when he crashed into a planter, a police officer said.
The crash occurred at 2:05 a.m. at Normal and Washington streets, said San Diego police Officer David Stafford.
“A 55-year-old male lost control of his motorcycle and struck a planter. He was pronounced dead at the scene,” Stafford said. “Alcohol is not a factor in the collision.”
The accident remained under investigation, he said.
