Five suspected drunken drivers were arrested at or near a checkpoint near the U.S.-Mexico border this weekend.
McCullough said that in addition to the five suspected drunken driving arrests, officers impounded six vehicles.
The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety and was part of the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign.
