A woman bitten by a snake Sunday near the Natural History Museum in Balboa Park was being taken to a hospital, according to authorities.
Medics were called about 1:45 p.m. to an area near a rose garden, near Village Place and Plaza de Panama, a San Diego Fire-Rescue Department dispatcher said.
The dispatcher said it was unknown what kind of snake bit the woman, but her injury was likely not serious.
