Police were on the lookout Tuesday for a robbery suspect who escaped in handcuffs from a processing area at the downtown San Diego Central Jail.
The man, identified by broadcast reports as Angelo Paschall, 21, fled the detention facility on Front Street shortly before 3 p.m. Monday, according to police.
Police described the suspect as black and about 6 feet 5 with long, curly black hair. He was wearing a white tank top and a red sweatshirt.
Officers initially searched the area, including inside a parkade at Sixth Avenue and L Street where someone reported a possible sighting of the escapee, but they were unable to find him.
