San Diego police are seeking the public’s help in locating twin brothers wanted in connection with the killing in City Heights one year ago Friday.

Anibal and Edward Avila, 22, are suspected in the death of 34-year-old Rafael Robles, according to police, who said the siblings may have fled to Mexico.

Robles was gunned down in the west alley of 4000 39th St. about 2:45 p.m. April 11, 2013.

A second man was wounded in the shooting but survived.

The brothers are Hispanic, with black hair and brown eyes. Anibal stands 5 feet 4 and weighs 125 pounds, and Edward is 5 feet 5 and 145 pounds.

Anyone with information about the brothers’ whereabouts was asked to call San Diego County Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
