Mark Anthony Cabezuela, 29, was ordered held on $50,000 bail.

Around noon last Thursday, a resident came home to find Cabezuela and another man allegedly removing items from the home in the 700 block of Paseo Del Rey, according to Chula Vista police.

The thieves fled and a subsequent search of the area turned up nothing. About 2:30 p.m., police received numerous calls about a suspicious man walking in the area of Lori Lane and David Drive and allegedly found Cabezuela in possession of items taken during the burglary.

The second suspect remains at large, prosecutors said.

Cabezuela will be back in court April 1 for a readiness conference and April 7 for a preliminary hearing.
