In addition to a year in custody, Priest was put on probation for five years and ordered to pay $62,417 in restitution.

Priest served as the chamber’s chief executive officer from 2008 to mid- 2012. She was charged in June 2013 with 29 felony counts, including grand theft, check forgery and altering records.

According to court records, chamber officials noticed discrepancies in the number of memberships sold and the amount of money collected, prompting an internal investigation that led to Priest being led out of the building and being put on administrative leave in May 2012.
