A southbound 2007 Ford Expedition crossed the parallel yellow lines at 15050 Wildcat Canyon Road at 6:39 p.m. Saturday and struck a northbound car head-on, according to the CHP.

Media reports indicated the Expedition was a Barona Tribal Enforcement vehicle.

The passenger was transported to a hospital and was pronounced dead. The driver of the Expedition was also treated at a hospital with cuts to his right arm, the CHP said.

Drugs and alcohol were not believed to be a factor, the CHP said.

A spokeswoman for Barona Tribal Enforcement was not available when City News Service attempted to contact her.
