A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Carlsbad early Saturday, police said.
A witness reported the crash shortly after 4 a.m. in the 2000 block of La Costa Avenue near El Camino Real, according to Carlsbad police officials.
The driver was declared dead at the scene by responding fire personnel, police said. His name was withheld pending family notification.
