The burglary at the West Star Apartments in the 10100 block of Black Mountain Road was reported at 12:45 a.m., according to San Diego police Sgt. David Jennings. The woman and her daughter were unharmed, he said.

Police were looking for a Hispanic or Asian male in his mid-20s, around 5 feet 5, with a slight beard and thin mustache. He had a gold chain around his neck but was not wearing a shirt or shoes, Jennings said.
