A fire of unknown origin destroyed a mobile home and two parked cars behind a Valencia Park house today.

San Diego Fire Rescue

The non-injury blaze in the 5400 block of Cervantes Avenue erupted shortly before 10 a.m., according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. It took crews about a half-hour to subdue the flames, SDFRD spokesman Lee Swanson said.

Investigators were unable to immediately determine what sparked the fire. They set the monetary losses at $50,000 each to the structure and its contents, and $20,000 to the vehicles.

The property owner told firefighters he had used the trailer only for storage and that no one had ever lived in it, Swanson said.
