A man initially refused to hand over money to a robber with a knife in Logan Heights, but gave up his wallet after being slashed, a police sergeant said today.
The suspect approached the victim about 10 p.m. Saturday on Imperial Avenue near 27th Street and demanded money, San Diego police Sgt. L. Taylor said.
The victim refused and ran off, but the suspect caught up to him and slashed him with the knife twice, the sergeant said. He took the victim’s wallet and ran away, Taylor said.
The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which Taylor said were not life-threatening.
