Driverless car company Waymo announced Monday that it will be rolling out its robotaxi models in three new cities, including San Diego.
Waymo said it plans to next launch the commercial driverless car services in San Diego, Las Vegas, and Detroit.
The company has been testing its cars in San Diego, but with drivers, since February.
The company currently operates in five cities: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Phoenix, Austin, and Atlanta. It has also said it wants to launch in Boston, Seattle, Denver, Miami, New York City, and Washington, DC, according to Wired.
Waymo is licensed for autonomous vehicle service in California, but it will still need to approval in Nevada and Michigan before it can operate fully driverless cars commercially.
The company did not specify when it intends to open up its autonomous taxi services to customers in the three new cities.
