Cox Charities is now accepting applications for its 2025 Community Grants, offering funding to local nonprofits in San Diego and other areas served by Cox Communications in California. The deadline to apply is June 30, 2025.
Nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status can apply for grants ranging from $10,000 to $25,000. To qualify, organizations must focus on at least one of Cox Charities’ three priority areas: environmental conservation and sustainability, K-12 STEM education, or services for military personnel and veterans.
Cox Charities was established in 1996 and is funded entirely by Cox employees. Every dollar goes back into the community through grants, scholarships, and local programs. In 2024, $100,000 in grants went to ten San Diego-based nonprofits, including the San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum, Forever Balboa Park, and Cyber Seniors.
Cox employees are directly involved in the process, from contributing funds to helping select the recipients.
