San Diegan Jessica Anderson was recognized as one of the commerce industry’s top emerging leaders Thursday when she was named to the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives 2024 Forty Under 40 list.

Anderson, who is the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce‘s Interim President and CEO, stands alone as the only San Diego executive on the list.

The annual recognition showcases 40 of the industry’s most creative, committed and successful emerging leaders who have made significant contributions to their communities.

“I’m proud to help guide our organization in making the San Diego region the best place to live and work,” Anderson said in a press release.

Anderson has worked for the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce for the past year.

Previously, she worked for the city of San Diego for more than ten years as a senior adviser to Mayor Todd Gloria and former Mayor Kevin Faulconer. While in the mayoral post, she negotiated policies affecting infrastructure, business, housing and budget development.

Anderson also received the San Diego Business Journal’s award for Non-Profit Business Women of the Year in December.

ACCE has over 1,600 chambers of commerce, related business and economic development organizations as members, representing more than 9,000 professionals in the industry.
