Ground has been broken on Evolve, a three-building business campus in Carlsbad, owned and developed by the Techbilt Companies.

The campus is situated within a 600-acre master-planned development surrounded by over 350 acres of open space. Evolve is located on Whiptail Loop at Faraday Avenue within the Carlsbad Oaks North Business Park.

It is the first of three new developments that Techbilt is set to bring to the Carlsbad market within the next two years, according to Cushman and Wakefield, which is teaming up with the Cuthbert Industrial Team at Colliers to lead leasing efforts for the project.

Evolve’s three buildings total more than 67,000 square feet, with the largest set to be Building C at 29,965 square feet.

“Innovation, productivity, and a sense of purpose are directly correlated with the workspace,” said Raul Guzman, vice president of development at the Techbilt Companies, based in San Diego. “Evolve provides companies wanting to relocate, expand or simply upgrade their space in Carlsbad with an extraordinary opportunity to create their own fully integrated coastal workplace.”

Evolve’s modern design features emphasize flexible functionality, employee well-being and the surrounding open spaces.

The project has been designed to be leased for up to eight tenants and allows for each space to have its own shaded private patio/outdoor space and lunch area adjacent to the space.

Additional design features include 28-foot warehouse clear heights, glass sectional roll-up doors, ample natural light, clean air/electric vehicle parking and bike storage.

As a flex campus, according to Conor Boyle of Cushman and Wakefield, “Evolve will help satisfy the demand from myriad mid-size occupiers – including office, R&D or industrial users – that are seeking modern, high-quality space” in North County.

With the completion of these last three developments, the Techbilt Companies will have been the developer or master developer responsible for bringing more than 2 million square feet of research and development, industrial and office space to the Carlsbad Business Park across their Oaks North, Oaks West and Oaks East developments.
