A major business conference that highlights the spending power and economic influence of the nation’s Latinos is returning to San Diego this weekend.
L’ATTITUDE: The New Mainstream Economy is expected to attract about 6,000 people to the
Manchester Grand Hyatt in the Gaslamp area Thursday through Sunday.
The conference offers more than 35 sessions on business, entrepreneurship, economics, music, entertainment, sports, fashion, tech, politics, and more.
“As powerful drivers of our country’s gross domestic income, gross domestic product and
purchasing power, U.S. Latinos play a critical role in driving the economy forward,” said Sol
Trujillo, one of the conference founders.
“We’re proud to showcase the growing power and influence of the U.S. Latino cohort through data and insights.”
Trujillo founded the event in 2018, along with Gary Acosta, chief executive officer of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals.
This is the seventh year of the conference, and it is the third time it has come to San Diego,
having previously been here in 2021 and 2022.
The conference features major business leaders, including executives with ESPN, Disney, Wells Fargo, Ulta Beauty, and SONY Pictures Entertainment.
There will also be celebrities and athletes, including NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns, singer Luis Fonsi, motivational speaker Tony Robbins, and actor Jay Hernandez.
Local leaders are featured at the conference, including Sergio del Prado, Executive Vice
President of Business Affairs for the San Diego Padres and Ricardo Campos, Executive Vice
President of the new soccer team San Diego FC.
Panels range from the “State of the Economy” and the “The New Economics of Sports” to
“Latinos in Film Entertainment.”
Entrepreneurs will be able to compete in “Match-Up,” a pitch session with venture capital
funders.
The conference also includes a concert at the nearby Rady Shell.
“U.S. Latinos have moved beyond being a niche market — we’re at the forefront of economic
growth across various sectors, including real estate, media and technology,” said Acosta.
“L’ATTITUDE’s mission is to use data to create an accurate narrative about the U.S. Hispanic
community, showcase some of the best and brightest Latinos in all sectors of the economy and facilitate a marketplace for attendees and stakeholders where valuable relationships are made.”
