Developers aim to evoke sun, sand and sophisticated style at The Boardwalk Hotel, a revamped boutique property on an old motel site in Mission Beach.
The hotel, formerly known as the Santa Clara Motel, had a soft opening this week under the management of Brick Hospitality, based in San Diego.
“We are excited to introduce The Boardwalk Hotel as THE new hospitality experience in Mission Beach,” said Daniel Kalenov, co-developer of the hotel. “Our goal was to create a space that captures the essence of coastal living while providing unparalleled comfort and style.”
The property has 18 rooms, each designed with a “boutique beach” vision in mind. Guests can choose from boho bungalows or two-bedroom suites with ocean views and private rooftop decks.
Features include personal hot tubs on private patios, spa-inspired bathrooms, stylish kitchenettes. smart TVs, high-speed Wi-Fi and a large common area patio with fire pits, seating and shade.
The Boardwalk Hotel offers access to Belmont Park and the beach for surfing or paddle boarding, with vibrant nightlife and dining options within walking distance. In addition, group reservations are welcome for weddings, corporate retreats or family reunions.
There’s more to come. As part of its phase-two plans, The Boardwalk Hotel has announced a new, privately owned “Baja cantina-style” restaurant. The opening is slated for late 2024.
