Jamul Casino appointed Rocio Zorrilla as Hotel Director of the 16-story hotel tower set to open in spring 2025.

Bringing more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry to San Diego’s gaming destination, she will lead team members through opening and beyond as well as exceed guest expectations during the day-to-day operations.

“We are delighted to welcome Rocio to the team of hospitality professionals working to bring this hotel tower to life, a dream many years in the making,” said Mary Cheeks, president and General Manager of Jamul Casino. “We look forward to incorporating her insights and expertise to make this new 200-room hotel tower an overwhelming success, including further elevating the overall guest experience at Jamul Casino.”  

She has had various hospitality roles including managerial positions at resorts around the world such as Casa de Campo Resort & Villas in the Dominican Republic and Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburón in Florida.

Most recently serving as the Senior Manager of Hotel Operations at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in Highland, California. 

Her background includes leading diverse teams, optimizing guest experiences, and overseeing complex operational aspects at prestigious properties like the Sheraton Hotel in Salt Lake City and Montage Deer Valley. Her primary goal is to enhance luxury hospitality standards and ensure top-tier guest satisfaction for Jamul Casino’s highly anticipated expansion.
