The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped Wednesday for the 29th time in the last 30 days, decreasing 1.5 cents to $4.874, its lowest amount since March 1.

The average price has dropped 39.5 cents over the past 30 days, including 2.3 cents Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 10.1 cents less than one week ago, 39.5 cents less than one month ago and 6.3 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.567 since rising to a record $6.435 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price rose 1.3 cents to $3.454, ending a streak of 19 days of decreases. It has dropped 16.1 cents over the past 20 days, including four-tenths of a cent Tuesday.

The national average price is 4.9 cents less than one week ago, 16.5 cents less than one month ago and 14 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.562 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
